03 September 2026: 4 bets staked, settled 1W-3L. Every entry below was published before its match started.
We're backing Alejandro Tabilo to beat Alexei Popyrin at 1.735 on Pinnacle. Tabilo has spent the hard-court summer beating better opponents than Popyrin has faced, including a win over Ben Shelton as a big outsider, and his pace-absorbing lefty game is an awkward assignment for a first-strike shot-maker over five sets. Popyrin, meanwhile, has repeatedly lost matches he was favoured to win. This is a small starter-size position rather than a strong opinion, because the price is already close to fair.
A. Tabilo won 3 - 1
We are backing Jurij Rodionov to beat Jiri Mensik at 8.00 on Betfair. Rodionov has won four straight matches on these courts in the past ten days, coming through qualifying and then taking out big server Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard in straight sets, while Mensik has not beaten anyone rated as highly as himself in three months. Betfair is offering a clearly longer price on the Austrian than the sharpest book in the market, and that gap is the bet.
J. Mensik won 3 - 1
We're backing Harriet Dart to beat Marie Bouzkova at 6.00 on Betfair. Bouzkova is much the higher-ranked player, but hard courts have been her weakest surface all season and she is barely above .500 on them, while Dart has already won four matches on these courts inside a week, including a first-round win over Peyton Stearns. At this price we think the odds are pricing the ranking rather than the matchup. It is a small stake: Dart is 30 and has a lot of miles on her legs from qualifying.
M. Bouzkova won 2 - 0
We are backing Under 19.5 games at 1.99 on Betfair. Anisimova is a heavy favourite here and her routine wins are short ones - her last three straight-set victories took 16, 17 and 17 games, and she opened the US Open by beating Krueger 6-1 6-3 in 16. Tagger is a genuinely impressive 18-year-old, but she has not beaten anyone close to this level all year, and both books are still pricing the length of this match as a coin flip.
A. Anisimova won 2 - 1
